Dennis L. Martire has dedicated three decades of his life to advocating for the rights and well-being of laborers in the United States. Throughout this time, his unwavering commitment has resulted in improved working conditions and fair compensation for countless families. Martire’s professional journey as an integral leader within the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) serves as a testament to his remarkable legacy.
Martire’s affiliation with LIUNA commenced in 1990, shortly after he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in government from West Virginia Wesleyan College. He embarked on his career as an international representative for the organization, swiftly ascending the ranks due to his exemplary contributions. In 2002, Martire was elected as the vice president and mid-Atlantic regional manager, a position he continues to hold to this day.
Throughout the past three decades, Martire’s dedication to the labor workforce has yielded numerous notable accomplishments. His significance to the industry is evident through his active involvement in over a dozen committees and boards associated with the labor sector. These distinguished boards encompass the American High Speed Rail Alliance Advisory Board, the Laborers’ Health and Safety Fund of North America, the Service Contract and Education and Training Trust Fund, and the National Heavy and Highway Alliance.
